Recruitmenow.com.au Launched
April 30, 2008 by Geoff Jennings
There is no stopping the team at JobX. As promised they have let the recruitmenow beast out of the cage, meyow.
First impressions are it’s a pretty busy looking landing page. The goal should be to get first timers to register. However by the time you click on the distractions that blend in like they are content such as Rec Juice and watch a video of some guy picking his nose, then locate and click on the first candidate box which rewards you by sending you to PAGE NOT FOUND, I am confused. Why am I here again?? (and I don’t mean that in the esoteric sense)
As previously stated in my article, JOBX and Recruitment Academy Plugging Leaky Bucket. I still can’t see how it will gain the support of recruitment agencies, who won’t be too keen on their staff advertising themselves on the site. Needless to say it won’t help JobX with attracting the recruiters to advertise on their job board if they are losing consultants to this site.
However, its revenue model seems pretty simple. If you find a profile you like and offer employment then Recruit Me Now will then invoice you a placement fee of $2,500.00 excluding GST.
Buyer beware, – no guarantee period applies. You can also post a job ad for $69 on Recruit Me Now and wait for applicant to apply to you. No recruitment fee applies if the applicant applies to you.
Certainly not the cat’s meow…

Call me old fashioned but I expect to get search results when I do a search.
At the moment, when I try do a job search on this site, I click the ‘search’ box and nothing actually happens. Java script error.
Just tried it again, entering the criteria ‘Melbourne’ and and it worked this time.
The results presented a list of jobs that included ‘Senior Financial Accountant’, ‘Qualified Baker’ and ‘Garden Assistant – Toowoomba’.
These guys ought to take up sailing if they want to pour money down a hole as it appears they want to do. As much as I admire someone having a go I give them 6 months before it gets put out to pasture.
As a recruitment manager i am going to stay well away, and make sure my staff do too!
We put up a whole load of jobs on jobx.
response – zip, zilch, none.
No point having all those jobs, if you dont attract any candidates, or get any money for the jobs either. This idea now seems even more far fetched.
iWatch sincerely agree with your comments.
Who in their right mind is going to pay a fee to post a job on this site & encourage your recruiters/staff to post jobs on the basis that the potential candidate who applies will be stolen for a $2500 fee plus giving your staff exposure to other jobs to leave you. These guys are sadly misplaced if they think this will work. They’d be be better off to buy a lottery tickets – did I give them 6 months let’s say 3 months. See you later guys.
OMG… How many times have we seen those stock images around the place recently.
The fish bowl, the guy preparing to shake your hand and so forth, come on – you dont need to copy other job board images, why is it so hard to take your own photos.
