JJJ – Strong April traffic And New Chairman
May 20, 2008 by Geoff Jennings
Jobs Jobs Jobs is on the move…
They have reported strong April results with job applications up over 60% – record numbers of registered users and record traffic to its website.
Rob Stewart has also joined the Board of jobsjobsjobs Limited as Chairman. “Rob has an impressive track record in business and is currently on the Board of Mitchell Communication Group Ltd (formerly eMitch) and Melbourne IT, where he is Chairman.”
Let’s hope Mr Stewart can weave some of his magic and help JJJ realise its dream of owning the online employment advertising space.

Dont mean to split hairs but the Mitchells Communications Group is the holding company that owns eMitch as well as various other companies including Mitchells & Partners the ad agency.
This group also purchased the creative agency Visual Jazz last year.
I don’t mean to rain on JobsJobsJobs parade but unsubstantiated claims about job applications – appointing a new high profile chairperson don’t really amount to much. It was only 6 weeks ago that PBL’s MyHome was making a lot of cliams in the real estate space & as I’m sure you all know by now they are ceasing operations at the end of May. MyHome burnt $20 million & even with the backing/ownership of PBL & Microsoft & all the cross promotional exposure they got on the Nine network couldn’t make it work. The reason being that they were in 4th place behind Realestate.com.au – domain.com.au & HomeHound.com.au – no traction & advertisers didn’t see the need to expand their spend to a 4th site.
If JobsJobsJobs believe that they are going to overtake the entrenched major players of Seek – CareerOne & MyCareer they are dillusional & I’m sure that within the next 6 months they will find out that investors don’t put good money after bad. the moral of the story is that if Packer’s PBL with all their might can’t make an online business work no-one can. It’s time to leave JJJ & I dare say shortly afterwards JobX.
